Submissions are now open for PriMed 2026
PriMed, the International Festival of Mediterranean Documentary and Reportage, is launching its call for submissions for the 2026 edition. This annual festival highlights documentaries and reports that explore the issues, culture, heritage, and history of the countries of the Mediterranean basin.
Who can participate?
PriMed is open to all authors, directors, producers, and broadcasters whose works contribute to a better understanding of Mediterranean realities. Submitted documentaries, reports, and investigative films must address topics related to the societies and lives of the men and women of this region. Works of an advertising or propaganda nature are not accepted.
How to apply?
Applications are free and can be submitted directly online on the official PriMed website. Each work can only be entered in one category; this choice must be specified during the application process. The deadline to submit your films is April 27, 2026.

Competition Categories:
- Award for Documentary “Mediterranean Issues”: For films over 30 minutes addressing current events in the Mediterranean.
- Memory of the Mediterranean Award: Recognizes works over 30 minutes that bring historical events or individual or collective stories from the region to the present day.
- First Documentary Film Award: For filmmakers who have made fewer than three films, with works over 30 minutes in length.
- Art, Cultures and Societies Award: For documentaries over 30 minutes that celebrate artistic expression, heritage, or Mediterranean cultures.
- Mediterranean Young People’a Award : Awarded by a jury of high school students from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region and Euro-Mediterranean countries.
- Best Mediterranean Short Film Award (Audience Award): For films under 30 minutes dealing with Mediterranean subjects.
- Broadcasting Awards (2M, RAI, France 3 Corse Via Stelle, etc.)
