As part of the Saison Méditerranée 2026—which celebrates the richness, diversity, and dialogue of Mediterranean cultures—the Civilizations Department of the Alcazar Library, in partnership with the CMCA, is presenting three screenings selected from the PriMed festival lineup.
This program complements the exhibition Photographing Lebanon’s Heritage, 1864–1970, hosted at the Alcazar Library in partnership with the Arab World Institute and the Oriental Library of Saint Joseph University in Beirut. Through these documentaries, the public is invited to view Lebanon—past and present—from a fresh perspective, exploring themes of memory, heritage, resilience, and contemporary realities. It is a meeting of documentary cinema and heritage, set within a season dedicated to cultural and human exchange across the Mediterranean.
All screenings take place in the conference room of the Alcazar Library (58 Cours Belsunce, 13001 Marseille).
