As part of the European Heritage Days 2025, the Department of Society of the Alcazar Library, in collaboration with the CMCA, will host a series of free screenings drawn from the program of the PriMed – the Mediterranean Festival of Documentary Film.
These special sessions, open to all, will allow audiences to discover or rediscover documentaries that highlight the social, cultural, and historical realities of the Mediterranean basin.

Program of free screenings:
2:00 p.m. – UNFINISHED ITALY by Benoît Felici, 2010, 32 min
A journey in search of the “unfinished” (stadiums, hospitals, theaters) whose construction was halted. This architectural style, the most significant in post-war Italy up to the present day, raises the question of preserving archaeological memory.

3:00 p.m. – LA FABULOSA CASABLANCA by Manuel Horillo, 2016, 80 min
A story of nostalgia and a certain bitterness felt by Spaniards who, answering the call of a North African Eldorado, helped build this Atlantic California, only to be expelled from it.
A cultural event in Marseille
For nearly thirty years, PriMed has selected and promoted audiovisual works from across the Mediterranean. Each film offers an opportunity to explore social issues, individual life stories, and contemporary challenges facing the region. With PriMed films, the European Heritage Days become a chance to share this diversity through images and the vision of filmmakers.
