Le film « Il était une fois » est le premier long métrage d’animation turc et le premier film en couleurs de la Turquie. Sa production, commencée en 1951, a été perdue dans un laboratoire américain après huit ans de travail. Ce documentaire, qui s’ouvre sur un bref historique du cinéma d’animation dans le monde et en Turquie, retrace la production et le processus de création du film. Son objectif est de rendre justice à ce film, fruit du courage du producteur Turgut Demirağ et de l’animateur Yüksel Ünsal (AND Film), et de lui accorder la reconnaissance qu’il mérite.

After finishing her graduate studies at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture, she started her journalism career at Hürriyet Newspaper’s “Sunday” supplement and continued as editor and coordinator in various magazines and television companies such as Tempo, Nokta, Arkitekt, TRT . She earned her Master’s and PHD degrees at Marmara University’s Cinema-Television Department. She participated in national and international festivals, including Ankara and Istanbul Film Festivals, with four documentaries she shot . She continues her academic career at Maltepe University as Professor at Faculty of Fine Arts as the Head of Cartoon and Animation Department.
