Essam Hayder is a director, screenwriter, and producer based in Egypt. He is a DFM Alumnus with a bachelor’s in Screenwriting and a BA in English Language. He participated in several international workshops and has worked as a creative director and producer with several agencies.
In 2020, Essam founded Honey Bees Films, and under the label he wrote, directed, and produced 2:30, Stings, Fekry’s Thoughts, and Amina’s Song, TATNEFT award winner.
Essam works to tackle topics of importance to him, such as street stories, unheard stories, freedoms, minorities and societal issues, politics, and Middle Eastern matters.
