Mohammed, a young Palestinian, is desperately looking for a taxi to take him through an Israeli checkpoint. The driver, Farouk, discovers that Mohammed has already failed to cross the checkpoint. Trouble begins.
Mohammed Almughanni is a film director and screenwriter born in Gaza in 1994. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in film directing from Łódź Film School, Poland. His films, which focus on racial justice and socio-political issues within conflict zones, have received accolades at festivals including Ji.hlava (2020) and IDFA (2023). Almughanni’s work raises awareness about the impact of war on civilians, particularly regarding national identity and the plight of unregistered children.
